Journeys

This marks my entry into the public domain, revealing my private photographic journeys. The sights that captivate me, whether by the light, face, gesture, posture, setting, etc. are visualized first through my eyes and then made permanent via my camera's lens. My wanderings which produce these visual records of my daily life lead inevitably to thoughts. The ideas triggered by these sights become mini- photo essays on philosophical subjects which help me investigate the nature of existence.

Millerton Overlook

Millerton Overlook

Another serendipitous encounter with a fellow journey-woman/ seeker at the top of the hill overlooking the old Silo Farms off rte. 44. A peaceful afternoon break breathing in fresh country air under sunshine and fluffy cumulus clouds. Rima was there already spreading a blanket with a book, Letting Go, picturing penguins diving boldly into the sea as a group. Janis Joplin and red- winged blackbirds, a true symphony. Deep conversation in learning about a stranger who shares a love of making art as a way to self- knowledge and healing scars.
